MacBook Air

I replaced the 15-inch MacBook Pro, but still valid for 4 years old, with a 13-inch MacBook Air (but same pixel resolution) with 256 GB solid state disk, 4 gb ram, 2.13 ghz processor.

positive impression:

The advantage of solid state disk to wake up, reboot, and FileMaker is amazing.
Despite the slower microprocessor killing the 17-inch MacBook i5 Sandro Bramati.
The recalculation of the time the battery is instantaneous, real work from morning to night without a plugged in to the studio, on holidays I did six hours of work before I go on red.
Monitor bright, light, cold, the fan never starts.

negative impressions:

for the first time in 17 years I had to let me replace the first crashed if I used the port to be replaced without problems and with high availability EC Plaza from Florence to Milan.
can not be ask for the backlit keyboard, has the external DVD player.
The density of pixels on the new monitors continues to grow and I continue to age.

I think it's the first of a new series of Apple laptops, not to return to a hard disk to writing pen for any reason.
I think Apple has done here also leading the way, great.

PS: FileMaker makes much use of the hard drive, here's how everything loaded in RAM.
